Ghana’s trio of Nadia Eke, Robert Martey and Mary Zuta Narteh have ended their campaign at the IAAF Continental Cup with some decent performances in Marrakech, Morocco.

Nadia Eke, who was the youngest athlete in the triple jump, jumped 13.28m to place 7th overall.

Robert Martey came 6th in the long jump with 7.76m while Mary Zuta placed 8th in the javelin throw with 49.84m.

When asked about his performance, Robert Martey expressed disappointment at his inability to jump beyond 8m.

“I was hoping to go beyond 8m,” he said. ” It was the run up that messed me up.”

“The speed was there, the technique was there but unfortunately I fouled with all the good jumps.”

This was the highest level all three athletes have ever performed in their careers. For Nadia, she had never competed at the international level prior to July 2014.
